TRAVEL BASEBALL

GBN FEEDER PROGRAM

Northbrook Baseball competitive travel program that competes from the 9U to 14U age levels.

THE GBN WAY PLAYER APPROACH (A.C.E)

Attitude

Players are taught to see every situation as an opportunity and a potential, rather than a limitation. Everything is based on the foundation of attitude.

Coachability

The amount of improvement a player will experience is directly related to their level of coachability. In order to succeed in competitive situations, players must learn to accept critical feedback and make necessary corrections.

Effort

We ask that each player give their full effort. To fully develop player potential, all Spartans are taught to direct all of their energy toward the goal of success on the field.

Player Selection Process

We use an unbiased and rigorous evaluation process that takes four important aspects into account. These include statistics on in-season performance, scouting, coach assessments, and tryouts. Our evaluations aim to place the player on the appropriate team with players who have similar skill sets and baseball aptitude. This ensures that our athletes compete at the appropriate level and develop at a rate that affords them optimal results.

9U EVALUATION PROCESS

We utilize a unique approach to evaluate our incoming 9U GBN Feeder Baseball players. It is a 3 step process that correctly aligns skill sets and sets players up for success their first year of competitive travel baseball.

Through a process of multiple evaluations we get to know the player and their capabilities thus effectively placing them in the right competitive environment. By doing this it sets the player up for success in years to come. Our 9U tryouts will be conducted in late July/early August.
